DescriptionOn February 25, 1976, Georgia’s blue laws — which restricted certain activities on Sundays —were still in effect, varying by county and municipality. These laws typically prohibited alcohol sales, certain retail operations, and some forms of entertainment. Bingo was initially restricted under these laws, but later that year, Georgia voters approved Amendment 12, legalizing bingo games operated by nonprofit organizations. This amendment marked a shift in the state's gambling regulations, leading to Chapter 92-2 of Georgia’s nonprofit bingo laws.Social/Sharing |
