Very nice Gibbons art from the early 80's. His likeness for Tom Baker at the time is very strong. The use of zip for the doctor shows the frock coat and the scarf. Gibbons also uses some great inks for the curly hair for the Doc. The artwork in these DW magazines had a very sophisticated level of quality as part of the whole UK scene and Gibbons held up his end very well.

Even this early on in his career, Gibbons was a great draftsman and had a pretty strong ability to capture likenesses.

This is the way the Fourth Doctor looked in his final season, with the burgundy scarf and coat and the question marks on his lapels.
