Jennie the Sealyham Terrier was featured in the book Higglety Pigglety Pop! or,There Must Be More to Life by Maurice Sendak (HarperCollins, 1967). This drawing was done in 1983 as costume design for an opera based upon Higglety Pigglety Pop!

The drawing was published in the book Maurice Sendak: A Celebration of the Artist and His Work (Abrams, 2013). It was also displayed twice, in 2013 and again in 2021, at The Society of Illustrators in New York.
