Juliet Jones 1982-03-21 ( complete w / throwaways ) by Drake

I bought this Sunday strip from Drake's good friend Frank McLaughlin. He explained that this is an example of using "throwaway" panels. Basically, when a strip can be published in different formats, some parts of the strip art are not printed. Frank showed that the right side was folded over when photographing the art. Those panels are actually on a different board that is taped to the back. In general, the throwaway panels are not integral to the strip so they would not be missed.

Living up to the "throwaway" concept, in the last panel of the top and bottom rows, Drake cut out Eve's face from previous strips.

The first panel is a photocopy, not original art. Drake did this frequently.
