The Punisher: Year One #4, Pg 20 (Marvel, 1995) - Dale Eaglesham and Scott Koblish

Frank Castle, with face paint and skull emblazoned on his vest, tells "Beaut" Russo to warn his bosses that "The Punisher" is coming for them, the first mention of his name in this original origin story that was the final issue of the limited series which shows Castle's transformation into the Punisher after the murder of his family. This scene was the original telling of how Russo became the villain Jigsaw, in one of the most graphic and Punisher-like way possible! Inspired many movies and TV series over the decades. Ink and white paint over graphite on Marvel Bristol board with an image area of 10.5" x 15.75". Heavy smudging, whiteout touch-ups, tear on the bottom left edge, adhesive staining in the lower left image area, with light creasing and edge/handling wear. Signed by Eaglesham in the lower right margin. In Very Good condition.
