Early Charlton Newton! Wow!
This is great as Newton was breaking in through Charlton and they recognized his painting skills enough to have him do all sorts covers to the non character genre books first.
Brings memories flooding back! This was an early favorite from my collection that I'd forgotten all about until seeing your post. Big congrats!!
Thanks for posting this early Newton painting. Good technique was perfect for the low end paper quality and printing process Charlton used.
And cost a pretty penny, just as good art should. Painted by hand with a pallete; not digital, not A.I. It's A.H. - All Human.
