DescriptionMorgan Weistling poster concept for the Spielberg production "The Money Pit" (1986), starring Tom Hanks and Shelley Long, made while working on the film's campaign atBacon/Reneric Creatives.Bacon/Reneric's process used to begin with guys like Weistling creating thumbs and sketches, and usually ended with Drew Struzan making the finals. This concept was handed to Struzan, who did a second stage tighter drawing of it, but in the end it remained unused (See the additional image-- from Galactic Gallery's site, I do not have the Struzan comp in my collection) Social/Sharing |

It looks in the tradition of old comedies of the 50's with a very pleasant and wholesome image of a husband carrying his bride across the threshold. Maybe not clear enough to show that the first step is a doozy.
