Description

This is the original cover painting for the historical romance novel by Alexander Cordell (pen name of George Alexander Graber) - a prolific Welsh novelist and author of more than 30 novels, and Pether illustrated several of them. This illustration was created for the dust jacket of the 1st edition, published in Hardcover by Piatkus, 1993. Hand painted in acrylic and gouache on illustration board, 12" x 16.75" in wrap-around, panoramic format - the full painting makes the scene complete, which as usual is lost when only seeing the front cover! Comes with a label attesting to its authenticity signed by Pether's widow, mounted to the back. It's a beauty, and One of a kind - so if you love it, don't hesitate.
