Description

This page was published in November 1968, penciled by Dick Dillin (his 3rd JLA) and inked by Sid Greene.

This is a stellar action page from what is arguably the worst Justice League story up until this point in time. Dennis O’Neil had just taken over the writing duties from Gardner Fox and the result was a campy story that saw the JLA battling General Demmy Gog from the fictitious country of Rottberg, two groan inducing puns. The general is aided by a “moral machine” that can increase or decrease self-esteem, and somehow it even affects Superman.

This issue would mark the last appearance of Wonder Woman in costume in the Justice League for six years, owing to the loss of her powers.

It does look campy and like this was an extention of the Batman '66 show with that Batman look and the big fists in your face.  All that is different is that the onomatopoeia is kept overpowering the image.  By itself, the action is very strong and the layotu is more of an action montage as the figures dominate over the panel borders.
