You are on a roll sir! wow! I love this imagery and all the detail from the background elements, giant skull, and the character/figure work in the foreground. Terry Austin's inks really sing here over Chaykin. Such a cool cover piece. Congrats on this addition!

Such a killer collab!  You can see where Chaykin inked and where Austin inked.  Indy getting more pop in the foreground thrusting the gun and his leg forward is pure pulp hero Chaykin cover composition!  The giant skull is great throwback to the original inspiration of the serials that Chaykin nails!

An amazing addition to your 1980s all-star collection.  Well done!

I’m generally hesitant to appreciate anyone inking Chaykin other than Chaykin himself, but this piece stands out as a compelling curiosity. It retains the hallmarks of Chaykin’s signature approach, his layouts and geometric figure work, yet it’s unmistakably Terry Austin at the height of his powers. While Byrne and Golden are often credited as the major stylistic influences of the late ’70s and early ’80s, one could argue that Austin’s precision and rendering style may have had an even more lasting impact, particularly on the wave of hyper-detailed artists who emerged in the late ’80s and early ’90s. A striking cover, without question.

I don't think I ever realized that this cover was drawn by Chaykin.  It's an outstanding piece by him and Austin.  Congrats on the great addition to your collection!

What?? How did I miss seeing this here before? These are tough, I'd been looking for a long time, too! Got a nice Trimpe but what I've really wanted was a Chaykin or a Frenz...like this one. Congrats!
