Description

I've got a soft spot for masked Dr Strange, so I was delighted to pick this up at SDCC this year. It's more dynamic, IMHO, than the final cover. It's an interesting issue, being the first meeting of Strange and Namor, and part of a pre-Defenders cross-title story that started in Dr Strange 183, continued in Sub-Mariner 22, and finished in Hulk 126.

Being Subby's title, they's want to put the hero in peril for dramatic effect. Classic Marie Severin who defined the cover style that powered Marvel's covers behind the scenes. Very cool that this is full color.
