STAR WARS: THE EMPIRE STRIKES BACK (1980) - Hand-Airbrushed Cloud City Duel Artwork Used in Foldout Box Office Advertisement

Hand-airbrushed promotional artwork depicting Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) and Darth Vader (David Prowse) dueling in Cloud City as seen in Irvin Kershner's Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back. This artwork was designed by Seiniger/Morrison & Associates for use in foldout box office advertisement brochures touting the film's successful theatrical release.

This illustration was created by hand-airbrushing the lightsaber blades, elements of the background, and select character highlights on a large photographic print. It comes mounted to illustration board with printer registration marks above the image. A protective acetate cover is taped across the top, with a black construction paper overlay labeled "Empire Strikes Back 4C Strip-In Art."

Also included is an original copy of the foldout brochure in which this illustration appeared.The acetate cover exhibits scratching and some loss of adhesion between the image and the board. Dimensions: 21" x 17.5" (53.5 cm x 44.5 cm)
