Ryan and I were asked about 4 years back to do the art for an officially licensed crowd funded book for Vampire Hunter D. This project was under the watchful eye of the creator Hideyuki Kikuchi. A once in a lifetime opportunity. This was also one of my very last full books I inked. Page is from issue 5 and is Page 7.
The Graphic Novel crowd funder raised almost/ or over 1 million dollars between the two campaigns and at the time was, I believe the highest selling crowd funded comic ever/
Down to my last 50 pages of this series...it sold great at comic con for me. This page is 11X17 and inked on standard 2 ply smooth bristol board. inked over a blue line of the pencils. hand inked by me on DC comics bristol board using high quality archival Ultradraw india ink, with a Hunt 102 crow quill, Raphael Kolinksy Sable Brush, and rapidographs.
