Description
Honored to add this to my collection. These paintings were a massive part of my youth, whether for portfolios, covers, posters, or whatever. They have all been used 100x for different things over the many years since they were created.

Zeck's Punisher is for many, the definitive take on the character and a seminal 80's Marvel run. I happen to fully agree with that view. To be able to add this piece is a turning point in my collecting and something I truly never thought possible. While it is "production art" in every sense; the history, workmanship and power of this image transcends that label.

Huge thanks to Daryl R for putting this deal together with me. The piece is in it's forever home now. AKA, don't ask me to sell this. Ever.

I remember this piece. Zeck not only showed great expression. But the weapons he drew were on point. Great purchase here...Congrats!

The Zeck/Zimmelman collaboration made an indelible impact for all Punisher fans. And arguably made the character. In a hobby where original pen/ink rules...we'd all make an exception for one of these.

These were really slick in the 80's during the golden age of gritty action movies.  Plus the airbrushes are so good!

Not sure if anyone else in comics knows this character better than Mike and Phil.  The limited color palette black, blue, & white, is perfect.  And I love the lighting.

Simply stunning! Zeck's Punisher was the penultimate version. There have been some great artistic takes the character, but Zeck's mini series remains one of my favorite runs ever. Congratulations Chris!

Great scott! What a badass Punisher painting! I love this portfolio painting by Phil Zimmerman over Mike Zeck's pencils. I love the composition, the colors, the lighting, the whole shebang! Really, you couldn't find a better image of the Punisher, IMHO. Serious congrats, Chris!

Unreal get, man, whew.  Hard to top as a Zeck OR Punisher piece.  It's got it all, and those Zimelman colors must look that better in person.  Huge congrats, bud!
