Description

I had always wondered where Steve Erwin had vanished to - I used to really enjoy his art in Checkmate and Deathstroke. I was pleasantly surprised to bump into him as he was setting up a table at the Dallas Comic and Toy Fair back in June of 2002; he'd taken a break from the business and was trying to get back in. I signed up for a two character commission sketch, and proceeded to wander the convention. It took him a while to get back in the swing of things (bad thing since I still had to make the 4+ hour drive back to Houston), but he finally finished up this fine sketch of Deathstroke and Vigilante right as I was walking out the door. And his personalization is right, some things are worth waiting for - I'm very happy with this great commission. Pencil on 11x17 DC stock Bristol.
