DescriptionNot sure how I missed this, but turns out I never posted this one to my CAF Gallery.During the DWJ Transformers run, there was a two issue story that was largely a flashback story centered around Starscream. However there were some scenes set in the "present day" timeline of the series. This is part of the scene where a near death Starscream was found by a MARS Industry scavenger crew. What they did with Starscrem is pure comic booky fun that comes from Transformers and GI Joe sharing the same world. I really wanted something from that issue that featured Starscream and the HISS Tank, and I'm happy with what I was able to pick up here! Jason Howard provided a wonderful style for this two issue story, and now reflecting on the entire DWJ run, the events of this story have been elevated by events in the "DWJ finale" while also leaving some story meat on the bone for Kirkman & Dan Mora to have their go at! Ooohh I like the meta nature of the sketchbook/art being created by a character within the art page itself in that first panel! another nice addition to your DWJ/Transformers/Energon gallery, congrats!

I was really pleased with the art for these two issues, and it looks even better in black and white! This was SUCH a great scene, as I am a big fan of scenes in which the artists really give the readers a great sense of scale so they understand how truly gigantic some ofthese Transformers really are. That shot of the legless Starscream being raised by a crane is awesome. What they did to him seemed a bit over the top and ridiculous, but it was fun regardless. I'm intrigued by what Kirkman and Mora intend to do with the book. Transformers Zombies, here we come!
