DescriptionI have said just about everything I can say about Paul Pope in my other postings here. I love his art and his confidence. I think 100% is his best and most personal art and I like that it is basically a romance story...a really, really messed up one...but one all the same. Here is an incredible chapter title page. That first image is just brilliant. The perspective of looking through Daisy's eyes at a reflection of herself in the mirror is not only so well done, it is used to great effect framing how Pope wants you to feel at this point in the story. We are Daisy about to go on stage. The transformation from the girl into the dancer not so unlike the superhero transformations so commonplace in other comics. I bought this as a pair with page 2 which I will post tomorrow as the metamorphosis continues until THUCKTHUCK HUCK THUCK. No idea what I am talking about, either pull out your copy or wait until I post the next page.Social/Sharing |

It is a vry nice looking page indeed. Nice attention to detail showing the reflection of the other girl behind her. I have a feeling something gross is about to happen, so I look forward to seeing what it is tomorrow!

Everytime I see one of these Pope 100% pages I need to stop, stare, zoom, appreciate and take in the black and white brilliance! Top notch page, and a 2-parter!? Sweet!

Taking inspiration from many showgirl movies that took their inspiration from toulouse lautrec paintings of the decadent nightlife of Paris back in the late 19th century.

Oh man you are killing me with all these 100% pages. One better than the next. This is one of the best pages from the book and such a great portrait of Daisy. Stunning page and you probably need a whole room to display all these amazing pages

Absolutely stunning page Jeff! The top panel in particular is one of the most striking and memorable images for me in the whole series and where my mind goes instantly when I see the book sitting on my shelves. Congratulations on such a tremendous addition to your collection.

Paul Pope is a genius! His work blows me away with both his artistic talent and his storytelling ability.
