CLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Large 19-1/8x28" Monogram Board features ink and watercolor original art depicting a large tiger on an hill, overlooking a distant town. Art is by noted illustrator J. Allen St. John (1872-1957), perhaps best known for the illustrations he provided for the novels of Edgar Rice Burroughs. Art has been signed w/St. John's typical "St. J" signature, just below art. Illustration dates to the 1950s. Illustration board has even moderate aging. A few small age spots and margins show some scattered wear as framed over the years, w/some additional spots of mositure staining along margins. Fine overall, but could be framed for nice display.
