Art depicts Der Inspector from The Captain And The Kids (formerly The Katzenjammer Kids) subset, w/hand-lettered "Inspector" name below art and "Copr. 1946 King Features Syn. Inc." hand-lettered text along top. Art remains clean and Exc. Display also includes separate 4.5x4.75" dia. sheet of onionskin paper w/yellow/fleshtone colors which, when placed over the bw art, provides the colors for the finished button. Corner of this sheet are mounted w/small pieces of double-sided tape to acetate sheet that can be removed and placed over art. Paper has a few thin ripple lines and vertical fold at left, but these do not detract visually. Unique and historic button art. Comes w/example of the pin in custom case for display.
