Description
For the first time I dove into the world of newspaper strip original art. I picked up two May 1970 pieces from the "Dateline: Danger" series. I have to admit I love the large size of this art. I'm definitely going back for more strip art. Just a matter of finding the right pages.

image area 18.5" x 5.5", on a board 19.5" x 6.5"

That hair technique is cool.  It looks properly done and paired with a great smile in the center to pull you in with charisma.  McWilliams knew when to pull back on the backgrounds when it's a great shot of Raven.

I've been staring at that hair technique since I acquired this picture. It was one of the facets of the page that originally made me want it. McWilliams does a great job of expressing texture throughout, in the clothing and other items. But the hair is definitely brilliant.

The casualness of the his smile and demeanor works very well to tell the reader how to read the scene.

Thanks, Phill. It's an honor receiving a comment+like from a big dog like you!

One of these days, I'm going to have to get to one of your exhibits/shows.
