Oeming, Michael Avon - Powers #37 pg 28 (11x17)

I got a feeling they did a scene like this in the show because of the familar special effect similar to what Avon Oeming did in this big panel.  

Zuh-zuh-zuh-ZORA!  Wow, Indy - great grab!  Oeming cityscapes are among my very favorites, and the way he uses the monochromatic profile of the background in panel two to beautifully frame our heroes (while perfectly balancing out the black and white) shows just how much of a superpower Mike's sense of composition and graphic storytelling is.  I also  love how ash is raining down everywhere, in each of the panels: just what would happen in a disaster area or scene of destruction, but not something that's typically conveyed in comics.  A wonderful spotlight of our characters ("5" shirt and all!) along with a fundamental Power.  Yowza!  Mega-score, Indy - congrats!
