DescriptionFrom the first issue of a recent Namor mini-series, written by Jason Aaron, we find Namor serving out a voluntary prison sentence to atone for his sins. One day, a gang of Atlantean thugs break IN to the prison and attempt to take out the exiled king. Unfortunately for them, Namor goes full Imperious Rex on their asses, though he gets knocked out in the encounter. Upon waking up in the prison infirmary, who should Namor find waiting for him but the Aquatic Avenger himself, Stingray!!! The good doctor is the bearer of bad news, alerting Namor to the fact that seven pretenders to the throne of Atlantis that he may want to do something about. The final page of the sequence and we get the money shot -- STINGRAY FACE REVEAL!!! We don't get to see Stingray's face too often and, to my knowledge, this is the first time he's ever looked like Kurt Russell from 'The Thing'! It's an interesting choice, but I love it! The way that Stingray breaks the border between panels one and two is fun. More great acting from Namor and Stingray gets in on the action now that we can see his face. Panel four is so great; the look of four on Namor's face and the way he seems to be jerking the shackle and Stingray's forlorn look. What a reveal! Stingray looks to have worse kept hair than Paul Walter Houser.

He sort of looks like Jaime Lannister from Game Of Thrones to me! Either way, this rugged look must be a hit with the mermaid ladies. I didn't expect at the beginning of this multi-page sequence to actually see Stingray's face by the end of it, pretty cool and of course perfect for your collection. Great sequence, congrats!

This one was definitely the money shot and may have made me moister than an oyster.
