Dampyr #105 (2008) pages 21-22: Where's Blondie?

The spoks want to help avenge Casanova. Nik and Harlan discuss it:

“Touching, isn't it? We could actually enlist them…”

“If you think they could be useful, why not? We have to save Hanneke!” (Harlan can't reach any of his friends by phone.)

“Isn't anyone answering?”

“I'm sure now that Tesla and Kurjak also have fallen into a trap. Where was that place in Josefov?”

“There's no point in going there. Even best case, you'd find no trace of them.”

“So you fear the worst too? And Caleb? How could they kidnap him before my eyes too?”

“Hmm… as for Caleb Lost, there's something that blondie and I forgot to tell you. Remember the help he gave you in Krakow against Thorke?* Well, someone decided that now was the right time to indict him.”

Indeed, Caleb Lost is arriving at the celestial courtroom for his trial, in one of the series' rare near-splash pages. Anyel Zant accompanies him as one of the two judges speaks: “Welcome, Camael!”

Camael is Caleb's original, angelic name. He's often called "blondie" due to his white hair. Clint Eastwood was called "blondie" throughout the film "The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly" as well. The Italian convention of casually referring to people by their hair or skin color can be jarring to Americans, especially when black people are concerned.
