Johnny Hazard Sunday 12/13/59 - Frank Robbins

I have a lot of Johnny Hazard pieces in my collection and there are a few great ones but I think this might be the best. The beautiful brushy Robbins inks and spotted blacks are on full display and you also get some incredible action choreography and dynamic angles that make this Sunday really stand out. I particularly love the composition and drawing in the fourth panel with Hazard grabbing one of the attackers and punching him in the back. There is a cinematic quality to the first panel that’s also quite striking.
