Description
Carol Ferris is drinking her sorrows away (Despite her Star Sapphire persona being with child. Don't ask.) and I guess if your old boyfriend turned into Parallax, you would, too.

It's a bachelorette party for Plastique (who is getting hitched to Captain Atom) and my girl Maxima got assigned party planner detail. Where else would you throw an event for the b@#$h who stole your Superman-replacement, but to Wo Sum's Cowboy Palace! (That's Mr. Wo himself that Maxima is discussing the male-stripper inside a cake with!) Fire is yawning and Ice Maiden (not Tora, but Sigrid Nansen) looks bored out of her skull...

Meanwhile, Carol starts to trip balls and the waiter starts looking like the Red Skull serving Worm and Eyeball Soup like something on the menu from Temple of Doom.

Spoilers: It's just a Maxima Doom-Bot, cause she couldn't be bothered to attend the event in person.

I guess this is still EXTREEEEEEEEME, right? Right?

Maxima is a bad party planner.  Not extreme at all when they yawn.  These chicks want to be served large wieners by the dancers from the Hall of Sausage.

Did they retcon that the simulcrums were more like Doombots than constructs she projected her consciousness into?  That was a big thing back when the DC Heroes RPG from Mayfair was being published.

I still remember when a reviewer flipped out that Maxima's stats were completely different in the Superman Sourcebook from her first in-game appearance, and me thinking "Who's Maxima?"

This storyline sees Star Sapphire zapping the simulacrum, so for a minute everyone thought Maxima was dead. I guess I'm using the term Doombot as a catch-all cause it's more easily understood than simulacrum. But, yes, she later mentions that the 'vessel' that was destroyed contained her "psychic consciousness."

The more important question is, does a simulacrum, count as the 1st Full Appearance?!?!?!?! Or does it need to be the Flesh and Blood Maxima?!??!! Zoinks!!!!

Well, the Red Skull serving up that disgusting worm eyeball soup looks pretty extreme. The question is, does this title ever mete out any actual Justice?

Madness, as you know, is like gravity. All it takes is a little push!
