Nice.
Swan and Klein bring a real classy and clean look to Silver Age Supes. Great page!
Great page! I agree with your comments about Klein inking Swan!
This is 1963 and we get the classic house style strongman physique Superman from Swan and Klein! But Dammit, Superman choked and ruined my parlay! He did it for a good reason, to prevent the energy he exerts from being stolen, but he sure looked super weak in front of his girl. Silly fun that adds to the charm of the title!
Murphy Anderson and George Klein are my two favourite inkers over Swan, but they had very distinct approaches which resulted in two very distinct finished products. So it's really just a matter of visual preference rather than being able to make a case for one inker being "better" than the other. I love the the look of Lana on this page. The clean, refined facial features and hair are superb.
Very memorable!
Wonderful page highlighting the friendship between Lana and Superman.
