Nathan Never Gigante #14 (2011) page 159 and 164: Taking out the guards

After a Misunderstanding Fight with the Hidden Spring's guard post, Nathan's team is allowed to enter the secret tunnel under escort. The two guards left behind prove insufficient to fend off Frost's team:

“I've filled my pipe now, but I still need a light. Do you have a lighter with you?”

“Yes, but Kyowa wouldn't approve. We must remain very vigilant. Wait for the changing of the guard.”

“Oh, come on. There are two hours to go and it's such a bore out here!”

“All right, let me have a few puffs, but…”

“I prefer you like this…”

“Mmmh… fantastic tobacco. In the city they would have already fined us for this.”

“For good reason. It's a terrible habit!

(One guard is suddenly shot in the head.) “Argh!”

(The other is shot in the chest) “Oh, hell… Aagh!”

(Frost's soldier) “We caught them by surprise. They couldn't set off any alarms.”

(Frost) “Good. Find the sound key that opens the door. One of the two has it. Let's not waste any more time!”

“The radio systems are down due to a strange electromagnetic field, and the infrared glasses are also having problems.”

“This explains why the probes couldn't locate the area. But there is an advantage. Our friends down here don't have alarm systems. We would have already have been spotted by any sensors or cameras.”

“We could get lost in these tunnels, without an electronic mapper and going around in circles for hours.

“Leave a mark in the rocks. It will take us longer, but we are in the lair of our prey, and we certainly won't give up now. Let's move forward in silence and without lowering our guard.”
