Description
Supermodel Cindy Crawford mixed media painting 23" x 22" Heavy Rag paper. c. 1989

Signed lower right in his signature style. Exact year and title unknown, but he released a carbograph print of Cindy he tried to disguise and titled "Katrina" in 1989, so he was definitely painting Cindy and other supermodels during this period. (Hence the Paulina Porizkova, I already posted). Makes since this was probably same time or earlier based on the collection I found her in. I took her out of old frame I purchased her in to take photos. Not bad for an iphone. She is beautiful! Signature Blue hair, red lips, and zig zag brows. 80s love.

Cindy was definitely a big part of my teenage years and I had the pleasure of meeting her a couple times, first while she was working as a host on a some documentary Batman special with Adam West. Random.

She is still stunning and in my opinion was one of the greatest models of my generation.

One of my all time favorite artists I collect is late Robert D. Blue. He could do it all. Oil, Acrylic, Pencils, Watercolor, Marker, inks .. Any medium and while he focused on pinup art he also did fetish comics. (Hustler and more). And yes he did great feet, LOL. Many of you may not know or remember Blue, but Bettie Page personally credited him as the first of three artist that brought her career back. I am sure you know the other two easily, The amazing Olivia de Berardinis and of course you all know Dave Stevens. In fact, Robert D. Blue was painting Bettie in the 70s and Bettie sought him out to create art specifically of her and those cavnases, prints and metal signs are highly sought after. In 1984, a film was loosely based on his life called "Hearbreakers" with Peter Coyote playing Blue. I can go on but I won't, but if you want to learn more or if you are looking for Blue art you can try me. I don't sell too much of my collection but I have added several pieces over the last few years and I am open to letting some go. I AM BUYING BLUE. GOT ONE TO SELL? PLEASE PLEASE LET ME KNOW! I will slowly be posting pieces I have had over the years. Enjoy I also run this page on Facebook if you want to follow or learn more. https://www.facebook.com/RobertBlueArt Selling to CAF member long payment plan. TY

I would have believed you if you said this was a print.  It looks so flawless.
