Yet another tremendous Pat Broderick page.  I just love the way he draws people.

I also love the way The Legion, even in a private volleyball game, call each other by their superhero names.  All business!

A very cool "day in the life" splash

This was the page where as a kid, I realized that I could recognize an artist (Broderick) even when he moved to a new series (from Micronauts). Levitz is taking a cue from Claremont, showing the powers of the heroes in a sports context.

Like Saturn Girl wouldn't cheat by reading everyone's thoughts to predict their next play. It's so unfair. Some of the Legion can get away with cheating and some can't. Fun title splash.

Fun splash -- I've always enjoyed Pat Broderick's take on the Legion!  It's also good that Patterson inked this as Broderick's inking was generally in markers that have faded pretty badly over time.

This is super fun! I've often mentioned the topic of collecting art by theme, and there was a time when I actually gave consideration to the idea of starting a subset of pages that feature our heroes playing sports!
