DescriptionPublished 2007The Lords of Luck, Chapter Three: The Lord of Time written by Mark Waid Supergirl is on Ventura but she gets separated from Green Lantern and is unfamiliar with this region of space, so she needs a navigator: Lobo! This is Supergirl's first meeting with Lobo which is bit different than the meeting shown in the Supergirl movie trailer. Interestingly, Lobo wants to be paid to be Supergirl's navigator, but Supergirl just saved him from an execution. You would think that would be payment enough! Social/Sharing |

I enjoyed this take on Supergirl. She was done as a biker chick who might prove more dangerous than Lobo, if he didn't watch himself. And Perez was at his best (clearly).

Might be the coolest and most badass Supergirl I've ever seen when she can outshine/standout over Lobo on their very first meeting together (he looks awesome too though of course). Such a great page!

Another incredible Perez page from this run! This page has to weigh about a pound, right? With all the ink and detail that's been laid on top...? Simply astonishing, and I love how Kara's zoomed-in super-vision view of Lobo's bike in panel 7 feels completely like a Kirby machinery panel (it's not just me, right?) and exposes The Source of inspiration that lives at the heart of this wondrous page. And panel 5 just flat-out ROCKS. Has there ever been a -cooler- image of a space-faring Supergirl than this, with the infinite reaches of the cosmos reflecting off the lenses of her sunglasses as she opens her leather jacket to show the "S"?!? I can't think of one.. Another barn-burner, Miki! Yowza!
