DescriptionUnpublished cover concept for Ursa Minor (Big Dog Ink) by Justin Hunt.I acquired this piece directly from Justin when he was living in Tumwater, WA, after meeting him at a local comic shop near Lacey. What drew me to it wasnt name recognition, but the strength of the design elegant composition, confident linework, and a clear sense of mood and intent. Complete traditional boards for lenticular cover concepts are rarely preserved, which makes this piece especially interesting to me. This is the kind of original art that reminds me why I enjoy collecting: discovery, craftsmanship, and owning the work before its filtered through print or production. Social/Sharing |

Always interesting to see what an artist does for these lenticular covers to see what gets carried over and what changes are made for the second board.
