Description
This one took some time but was certainly worth the wait. I’m happy to post it for my final commission of 2025. I think it was almost a year between my initial request for Frank to do this piece and its arrival at my doorstep right before Christmas.

Frank went absolutely above and beyond on this illustration. It surpassed all of my expectations of what a mailed commission from him would be. It was originally just for one character that turned into two with background. I only asked Frank for a commission of Caroline Munro from The Golden Voyage of Sinbad. I set no parameters, so this was entirely conceived from his own imagination.

Frank is a big Ray Harryhausen fan and threw in the One-Eyed Centaur without my asking. He also decided to add in additional background to create this very dynamic scene of Caroline Munro hiding from the monster, like in the original film, which was a huge bonus.

Congratulations! Frank did an awesome job on this one. Absolutely beautiful Caroline Munro/Margiana from one of my favorite movies as a kid. As I recall, she had quite the wardrobe in this movie. (I wanted the Griffin to win the battle, but unfortunately the centaur had some help from the villain guy.) I'll be back for another look.

It has what Frank Cho does best and brings pure class to the presentation when it's not intended for outrage.
