DescriptionFirst page of the new year and it’s a nice one. Featuring the first appearance debut page of Mary Jane as the super heroine Spinneret. In an alternate universe where Peter and Mary Jane remained married with a daughter, MJ utilized suit that let her borrow some of Spidey’s powers and became Spinneret so they could form a superfamily team. Swinging in to save her husband from being dogpiled by mole men and a dinosaur!Since then, she’s become a fairly popular version of Mary Jane in the Spider-verse, having become popular among cosplayers, receiving a Marvel Legends figure, having a cameo in the “Across the Spider-verse” film with her daughter Annie, and received the fan community nickname of “Spider-Milf”. The first two panels were also reused in issue 2 for page 12, which properly introduces Spinneret‘s origins. Social/Sharing |
