Yes!!! You cost me extra money! Always fun to know who I'm battling. Honestly I would've paid moreI rarely see these Sr.'s pop up and when they do they're at crazy asks. Thanks for letting me snag it!

No problem, I will much the same and wanted to shoot my shot when I had the chance! I will say if you ever at some point do look to part with it, maybe keep me in mind as I would probably be interested haha. It really is a nice piece, congrats!

So you were the one I had the back and forth over for this piece last night! Bummed I missed out on it since I admire Romita Sr and the MvC armor, but it's nice to see it go to a good home!

Not to be that guy but isn’t the 1st cover of the Winter Soldier the variant to Issue 6?

If this is the piece I'm thinking of, I believe its both Hanna pencils and inks. I believe the 'after JRJR' is to attribute to him since it's based on the cover him and Hanna did for Amazing Spider-Man #15 from vol 6.

Congrats on the nice ASM Romita Jr page! I was so tempted on that auction as well but had to hold back, so it's cool seeing it went to another collector who will enjoy it just as much

Very cool!  You can see the difference an inker like Armando Gil has compared to the Al Williamson DD art.  DD is going for grim and gritty, while this brings fantasy to life.

Agreed, Gil really did a great job with inking JRJR's pencils! I wish the story had been long than the few pages it was, as while Williamson did an amazing job inking his Daredevil, it would have been interesting to see how other inkers along with Gil would have done JRJR's pencils while he was developing the style he's so iconic for now

I was told it was the first meeting when I bought it. Might be worth looking a little deeper into though.

I went back to double check as I recall them having met before and it was back in ASM volume 3. I don't believe they knew each others identities until way after though

Nice page! I saw this one floating around for months and thought about grabbing it! But I could've sworn Peter and Kamala met back during Slott's run before the original Spider-verse event?
