Flash Gordon 1 cover by Lamberto Lombardi

I like seeing foreign edition artwork of popular American characters. Well, as long as the art is of a certain quality, which this is. Any clues as to what decade this was drawn?

Early 70's is my guess.

Classic Space Age illustrative style, with an unusual angulated panel corner on the left side so that it points right at the departing figure. Also, "Lamberto Lombardi" means "The area famous for guys with long beards," which sounds like where I live.

Cool cover! Have a soft spot for Flash, being one of the first movies I was allowed to see at the theater by myself as a kid. 

Lovely artwork, with a real early '60s SF feel. That's a great face on the left.

I love it!!! A pure classic sci-fi example! As good as it gets!

The other guys could be Science Police. I should retitle it 'unpublished Legion cover' 😀
