The Final Knight
written by Karl Kesel

Lex Luthor has devised a plan to harness the sun's energy when it goes nova to kill the sun eater and hopefully restore the sun to normal. A pilot is needed and Superman volunteers to be the pilot, hoping that the sun's energy will also restore his power and keep him from being killed. However, Ferro sneaks aboard and heads off into the sun with the ship.

Ferro your eyes in the dying sun
I feel you brush me in the pourin' inks
And Immonen that you wander far from me
I wanna feel you in my arms Marzan

And your Sun would eat on all energy
Keep fields warm in your force, when you manually
And it's me you need cargo
How deep is your love?

How deep is your love? How deep is your love?
I really mean to learn
'Cause we're Legion in a world of fools
Breakin' art down
When they all should let sun eat
We belong to Stu and me

Nice lighting choices, especially the middle panel.

I love those touches of what looks like graphite around the edges of the solid blacks in the final panel.

Lovely last panel. It's hard to get expression into a helmet, but there is resignation in that face.
