I had an immediate attraction to Avril’s work the first time I saw an example maybe 2 decades ago. A piece was always destined for my collection but finding the right one proved to be more difficult than I’d have thought given the availability of his art. I like everything as there is a quiet vastness to his retro land and cityscapes. This not the best example of this but the sci-fi 5th Element/Blade Runner theme made this the right one to add. I suspect others will follow.

I love illustrations like this. The composition and perspective are top notch. Immediately brings to mind an illustration in a scifi magazine or novel.
