So full of bittersweet emotion in this, even amidst all of the technical illustration mastery. 

Truly "touching" and thought provoking piece with really high level blending of rendering techniques for a flawless execution of your idea/concept presumably (as much as I can assume without knowing the prose anyway, I'm sure it's great!). Congrats, really special and will have to look at more from the artist. 

Any time you can get commissions that tell a story, they are infinitely more meaningful and enjoyable to look at!
