A rare convergence of the Joker and Two-Face defines this tense Arkham Asylum page, taken from a 100-plus page graphic novel where both appear only sparingly. The Joker commands the scene with quiet menace, one of only 17 appearances in the book, while Two-Face fumbles his cards. Batman looms in shadow across two panels, unable to impose control. This landmark work shifted Batman storytelling away from spectacle and toward psychological weight. Dave McKean's painted textures and fractured layouts dissolve the boundary between sanity and madness.
