Spike Milligan was an Anglo-Irish Comedian, Writer, Musician, Poet, Playwright and Acto and co-creator, main writer and principal cast member of the British radio comedy The Goon Show, a show credited as a major influence on the members of Monty Python’s Flying Circus.

The book reimagines Robin Hood and his Merry Men with modern, anachronistic twists, such as eating at McDonald's and KFC, and features Milligan's signature surreal and absurd style of comedy. It's part of his series of comedic reinterpretations of classic literature.
