Duo Damsel Sketch Card by Jeff Moy

It's been a while since I got another member of the animated Legion cast from Jeff, but as usual, he did a fantastic job! Duo Damsel has one of my favourite designs from the entire series, and Jeff got every detail just right. If you compare this Duo Damsel to the Triplicate Girl card I also got from Jeff, you can get a sense of what elements of her design changed (and sort of infer what happened to her, given that her uniform's base colour is now funereal black instead of white. Poor girl).

The colours on this one are just gorgeous. Jeff recently made the switch to a different kind of cardstock which has a custom-printed, branded back, and the new paper somehow makes the colours noticeably more vibrant. I also think he did a great job blending some of the stylization elements from the cartoon - larger eyes and a hairstyle that wouldn't make sense in real life - with his own style. And of course, just like all my other cartoon Legion cards, I asked Jeff to give this one a space background, and he delivered in spades! I like how the purples and blacks in Duo Damsel's design mean that the palette of the background complements her own really well, while the orange keeps her visually distinct from it.
