CLICK HERE FOR AUCTION LISTING!Feg Murray (1894-1973) was a well-known artist, writer and cartoonist, drawing the Seein' Stars daily strip from 1933 until 1941; this strip continued in Sunday pages until 1951. Offered here is 4.75x7.25" envelope that has been hand-addressed to Murray and bears Dec. 31, 1944 New York, NY postmark on back. Envelope has been wonderfully illustrated in pen and ink original art, depicting Tarzan and Cheeta the chimpanzee by Rex Maxon (1892-1973), who has signed art. The Tarzan Of The Apes comic strip began in early 1929, Maxon beginning on June 10, 1929 and then continuing on the full-page Sunday strip, which started March 15, 1931. Maxon stayed w/the strip until 1947. Envelope is evenly aged and VF/Exc.
