2000 AD Prog 1879 (Jaegir Strigoi)

Final page of the Strigoi story, which explores an unsuccessful attempt to genetically engineer prominent Nordland Republic families -- with tragic and often horrifying results. Main character Atalia Jaegir is featured in all 5 panels chatting with Colonel-Inspector Nerria, both of whom bear visible scars from prior wartime duties. Love the trees and mountains, along with the Jaegir family castle and a waiting Nort ship. Coleby's panel design is always interesting, especially the bottom semi-splash, along with his heavy inks and delicate brushwork depicting a piney woodland area. This background imagery is echoed on the covers of Prog 1878 and the trade paperback.
