Description
OAX 2026 pickup!

Mangadex synopsis: A thrilling story of the Zero war battle drawn by Hiroshi Kaizuka, a master artist representing the Showa era (reign of Emperor Hirohito (Emperor Showa) from 1926 until his death in 1989). At the end of the Pacific War, Akagi and five others who supposedly were killed in a suicide attack hide in a secret base in the jungle and continue to resist the US military. The base has five Zero fighters painted red, which were different from normal Zero fighters, and when they sense a crisis among friendly forces, they sortie and fight to the death with enemy aircraft. The US military, having trouble dealing with this mysterious unit, finally deploys the latest fighter, the P-51 Mustang. Does the Zero Fighter Red Squad have any chance of winning against an enemy boasting overwhelming military strength?

A takeoff formation like they are on red alert pushing the action right into the reader!

A nice composition with the arrangement of planes. Interesting to see the narrow runway with profuse vegetation encroaching on it. It makes the runway feel a little makeshift.

Oh oh. Slippery slope. First it starts with manga planes. Then subs. Then next thing your whole gallery will be filled with nothing but tentacles.

Yes, the Zero Fighter Red Squad have any chance of winning. Because unlike their enemy, the Zero Fighter Red Squad were willing to do anything to help secure victory, including sacrificing their own lives just to fly their planes into the enemy in order to cause as much damage as possible.
