Spawn #45 p. 22 by Greg Capullo and Todd McFarlane

If one page sums up how I feel about Spawn this is it. Beautiful 1/2 splash end page. After another adventure of crime fighting (or just surviving), a tattered Al Simmons returns to his alley. Seemingly alone, Spawn settles in next to a dumpster for some rest and solitude, but it is once again revealed that his costume is alive and functioning. Spawn's cape and costume reenergize while hosting bats, rats, and who knows what other creatures... "His worms. His carriers. His evil."

Also... "Lace Face" Spawn! My favorite version of Spawn. Leftover carnage from the end of the Spawn/Batman crossover where Batman threw a batarang into Spawn's face. This was kept in continuity in the Spawn series and Spawn's face was laced together like a football for quite some time after the crossover.

Just an ideal Spawn page for me.
