Spider-Punk - Mystery Sketch Card by Dylan Macko

This piece is part of a larger collection of comic art sketch cards that represent friends I have met along the way in the comic art hobby. Some were chosen because the collector seriously focuses on that character, and others simply because I noticed a piece in their gallery and wanted to see a sketch card interpretation of that character. I decided not to name names, leaving the collection open to interpretation, since it reflects the community as a whole and the shared connections that make this hobby meaningful. Each card is a tribute to the friendships formed, the generosity of fellow collectors, and the joy of discovering characters through someone else’s passion.

This sketch card has everything you could hope for in a piece this size. It is a music-warping, glow-in-the-dark burst of pure energy. That is correct, this piece actually glows in the dark. Dylan captured the essence of punk music visually, turning the character into a vibrant explosion of motion and attitude. I am absolutely thrilled to add it to the collection.
 

It was inspired by a character who connected not only with another collector, but also with my children thanks to the Miles Morales series. I am sure the music pouring from the stereo is bound to land Spider-Punk and Emmy nomination.
