Congrats on the Energon design piece! They used it so many times from marketing to actual publishing, pretty cool!
Thanks Kavi! I was surprised to see it show up as much as it did. It was fun to see that the editorial team was just as jazzed about his inclusion as I was.
I remember the Dreadnoks, but not the "Dreadnok Road Pig". As with Transformers though, I wasn't a hardcore fan, so I guess that isn't surprising. It was fun to see you unveil it on YouTube!
He was added to the Dreadnok ranks a few years after they debuted, so he's not one of the originals. I just really loved the action figure & since he wasn't one of the "main characters" it was fun to latch onto him as one of my own favorites. So, yeah you're off the hook for not being a G.I. Joe Encyclopedia!
yoooo joe, nice lne buddy, sorry i had issues finding your caf, ill be watching now dude
Thanks man! All good, I had no idea since we interact other places anyway! You're everywhere!
Mmmm... pepperoni pizza cod piece.
I'd like a pepperoni cod piece please...hold the sausage.
Oh it does... snugly.
He may be dumb, but he's no dummy. Protection matters.
He's a great character, but pretty stereotypical in the horror genre. They knew this mix would do well to bring a level of tension and fear when Duke and CC were strung up like slabs of meat.
Yeah, he was defintely used in a horror trope kind of way, but it worked in the context for sure. Just a massive frame of a threat coming in and really upping the ante in an already super tense situation.
Fantastic Energon design bringing some Mad Max vibes to the Joe-U.
Thanks man! Love the chaotic energy the Dreadnoks bring to the equation!
Very cool find, I also had an affinity to Road Pig, I really enjoyed this character when he made an appearance. But really loved his action figure growing up as he was a very different mold than the typical Joe so he was kind of special. Cheers!
Thanks man! Road Pig Fan Club now has two members! It was the shoulder pads & cyinder block sledgehammer for me that made the figure standout. Very much agree though, he was a standout in a line of figures that were all largely unique in some way.
