I heard through the grapevine that The Spectre was popping up in JSA, and that was all the excuse I needed. A quick Google search later, I had the artist’s email and figured I’d take a shot and ask if any pages from the issue were still available. Here’s the wild part, he replied in about three minutes. When is the last time you can said that about an artist?  I didn’t know him or his work going in, but he couldn’t have been nicer—and he still had most of the issue. After a little back-and-forth, I snagged a few pages for the collection. Spectre being Spectre, and Corrigan getting in the way again—some things never change. Now the only question is whether I’ll chase pages from future JSA issues by the same artist…or stay content with the handful I landed from this one.
