Pogo

Simon and Shuster published the Pogo paperbacks beginning in 1951.  Walt Kelly provided new cover illustrations for the various paperbacks and he also added his unique version of the Simon and Shuster logo of "The Sower" (featuring Pogo as the sower) at the beginning of each paperback.

This illustration was obviously intended to be used as one of these Pogo as the sower pieces but I can't find it in any of the paperbacks.  I'm hoping a Pogophile with more extensive knowledge than myself might confirm the publication status of this piece.  For now, I am noting this illo as being unpublished until someone can identify where it was published.
