The amazing conclusion to the superhero saga!  Was there ever any doubt that the Avengers would prevail in the end?  Dr. Destructo unleashes a lightning attack on Tumbler, who blocks and responds by throwing his shield. Unfortunately for him, it rebounds back and gruesomely cuts the R-Man in half. Surprising that such carnage could pass the Comics Code Authority!  Vectra Man then ends up fried by an electrical circuit generated between Metamorpho (in energy monster form) and the Doc.  The last line "Don't Mess with the Gulf Coast Avengers" is of course a riff on the famous "Don't Mess with Texas" anti-littering slogan which had debuted around that same time.
